JIM STEDMAN
Jim Stedman is currently writing, recording and producing music with his daughter, Alex Paisley Stedman (& lately also his son, Adrien Stedman). Their songs have been added to over 400 Spotify Playlists and range from stripped down, female indie rock to fully loaded, modern pop. Their sound and structure continue to evolve following one singular rule: The only thing that defines their music is that it cannot be defined: Hear The Singles
Jim is also an animator who has worked with Simon Fuller (Creator of American Idol, Spice Girls, etc.) and Richard Linklater as well as with companies like DreamWorks Animation and the Austin Film Society. His work has garnered over 200 awards and been seen worldwide.
He is currently Directing and producing an animated series for Simon Fuller and executive producer, Michael Herwick for their supergroup - Now United.
Jim Directed and edited the featured Fandango commercial and corporate video pieces for Richard Linklater's $5.15/hour HBO pilot.
He worked as senior producer and creative with AMD and DreamWorks Animation on Over The Hedge, Flushed Away, Shrek the Third and Bee Movie.
Jim is currently Directing and co-writing for the web series episodic, Chic Mama Drama with Anne Stedman as part of her extensive Chic Mama brand.

Jim also Directed Michael Ramos's La Negra Celina music video. This song went on to reach #7 on the world music charts.
His short film, Jason and the High Cost of Electricity, was the only short to be accepted by both Project Greenlight and the Chrysler/Hypnotic/Universal Studios Million Dollar Film Festival. Jim has also been named to Project Greenlight's Top 50 Directors and AV Video Multimedia Producer magazine’s Top 100 Producers for three years in a row.
Jim’s award-winning films have aired on the Independent Film Channel, the Food Network, screened at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles and New York, the Cannes Film Festival and been accepted into SXSW, Project Greenlight, the Chrysler/Hypnotic/Universal Studios Million Dollar Film Festival, the SAG Indie booth, the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, the USA Film Festival, the 48 Hours Film Project, the Texas Filmmaker's Showcase, the San Francisco DocFest, Slamdunk, and the Austin Film Festival (see Awards section).
Jim worked with Richard Linklater and Rebecca Campbell of the Austin Film Society as producer and editor of every showcase piece done by the Film Society for over a decade. These include highlights from the Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards ceremonies, promotional videos to help raise AFS funds and their first ever retrospective highlights video covering the initial 15 years of the Austin Film Society when they were honored by Director's Guild of America (NY) at the first annual awards ceremony.
He has worked as a freelance copywriter for FOX Television and Disney Buena Vista writing promos for shows such as In Living Color, Married With Children, 21 Jumpstreet, Carol (Burnett) and Company and Freaky Friday.
Jim has been a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin's Film School. He was asked to participate in the Austin Film Society's panel discussions on the future of Austin Filmmaking. Jim Directed the Women in Film Awards at Sundance 2000 and has been invited as a digital video panelist at the Austin Film Festival. He and his work have been featured in magazines including Variety, MovieMaker Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.
